This new single is refreshing and it makes me smile.
I’ve always been a big fan of music with unique intros, unusual guitar sounds and 60’s harmonies such as in California dreamin’ from The Mamas & The Papas or Norwegian Wood The Beatles. Living Waters grabbed my attention with their musicianship and arrangements on Christian Rock single ‘There’s a Woman’.
It’s funny how a long intro with a hint of Eagles can still be a good thing in 2021 to a 60’s fan if you have a familiar ear to legendary bands of the past. This is probably why I understand where Living Waters wanted to take this song and why they made the choices that we hear now on the record.
You can’t help but be impressed by the fact that they recorded this single in their community house basement and managed to get the listener past the background noise.
I think this single is a gem for Christian Rock community that should be heard and recognized for the true and honest classic energy that it has.
