There’s a new artist in Hiphop that is blending hiphop with the smoothened of RnB. The result is a song with a cool chill vibe sound that is sure to get the attention of many listeners. The song is called “Dependable” and it’s a song that is sure to get stuck in your head. The song has a catchy beat and lyrics that are easy to listen to with a female chorus layering in more warmth despite the cool tone of the theme.
It’s about someone who is just trying to find their way in a troubled relationship. There’s a strange sarcasm to the lyrics as the songwriter explores the idea of expressing his distrust. I found this to be an interesting twist on a common theme. It’s not your typical Valentines day single for sure. The production is incorporating old school techniques and melodies in a fresh way with digital production and effects. It’s in this way that we found it to be engaging and an interesting listen.
