‘Swim’ by At Face Value is a Roller coaster from start to finish. With towering choruses, catchy hooks, and soothing vocals the song is a step in a new direction for the band, combining their styles over the last seven years.

We’ve managed to create our own unique and edgy pop-punk / alternative rock sound with influences from bands like All Time Low, Blink 182, and Jimmy Eat World. Having faced the all-too-familiar trials and tribulations of growing up, including loss of loved ones, break-ups, addiction, writing style, and catchy-yet-refreshing chord progressions, and melodies and lyrics help put a positive spin on things.

Formed in 2012 by Alec Myers (lead singer) and Jeremiah Douglas (drums), brothers Parker Ross and Grayson Ross entered the fray after meeting at a summer party, meshing their unique pop-rock and effect-driven sound with the fundamental raw punk tendencies Alec and Jeremiah gravitated towards.

The band’s debut release, Growing Up Young (2015), was received well by fans throughout Baltimore and beyond. After teaming up with well-known producer Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, The Used, Yellowcard), Thick As Thieves (2016) proved to be a stronger, more mature follow-up leaving no doubt that these guys have plenty to offer the pop-punk/alternative music scenes. The band recorded their 3rd studio release just outside of Chicago, IL, during the Summer of 2017 with producer Seth Henderson (Knuckle Puck, Real Friends, Devil Wears Prada). Ivy & Echo released in February 2018 to rave reviews from the local pop-punk scene and beyond. The single, “Cinderella”, featured multiple plays on college radio stations across the U.S.

In the Fall of 2020, the band saw increased Spotify placement with their release, Collide, an acoustic EP featuring the hit single Brain on a Pillow. The band recently finished recording their biggest record yet as they teamed up with producer/engineer Eric Taft of Buzzlounge Studios in early 2021 for a genre-bending rock/pop/punk powerhouse of a project. The first single, Swim, has been well-received in the Maryland music scene and beyond with placements in online blogs and media such as Alternative Press and a plethora of Spotify playlists worldwide, accruing over 35,000 streams since its release in February 2021.
